Paul's Amphicar Page We found our Amphi in St.Louis in 1996. It had been sitting for years but we got it running, went swimming and had a blast! A critical look showed that we had to save it or it would be lost forever! Motor compartment was filthy, no wonder, the whole thing had been under water when the Mississippi river flooded in the early 90's. We took every part off the car. Even the metal seat frames were a disaster when we uncovered them because of the flood. They look great now though. Rust was evident everywhere. This cradle sure helped. One word says it all.
